 Ashfield RDA Group subsidise all the disabled activities at
The Rainbow Equestrian Centre, however as more disabled riders use
the centre it is becoming harder to raise the necessary funds.
The group needs to raise £16,000 each year to cover it's
day to day running costs.
Due to the fact that the revenue brought in by able bodied
riding is only enough to pay one wage and the up keep of the
horses, fund raising is essential. Therefore the members of the
group are always thinking of ideas to raise money on an ongoing
basis. The group is very fortunate to have a faithful band of
volunteers who help with the disabled rides and also lend a hand
with most jobs at the centre including building and field
maintenance. A number of the disabled riders and their families
also help with the groups fund raising efforts.
Ashfield RDA Group also has great support from local
business and firms.
